Data show that in terms of production, driven by the demand for new energy vehicles, power and other battery production rebounded in March, and China's power and other batteries increased year-on-year in the first quarter.


In March, the total output of power and other batteries in China was 75.8GWh, an increase of 73.8% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 39.8%. In the first quarter, China's total cumulative output of power and other batteries was 184.6GWh, a cumulative increase of 33.5%.


In terms of sales, in March, the total sales volume of power and other batteries in China was 73.2GWh, an increase of 96.1% from the previous month and 49.5% year-on-year. Among them, the sales volume of power batteries was 62.3GWh, accounting for 85%, an increase of 85.6% quarter-on-quarter and 41.3% year-on-year; Other battery sales were 11GWh, accounting for 15%, an increase of 187.5% quarter-on-quarter and 122.3% year-on-year.


In the first quarter, the total cumulative sales of power and other batteries in China was 167.7GWh, a cumulative increase of 35.5%. Among them, the cumulative sales volume of power batteries was 146.2GWh, accounting for 87.2%, a cumulative increase of 35.4%. The cumulative sales volume of other batteries was 21.5GWh, accounting for 12.8%, with a cumulative increase of 36.8%.

In terms of loading capacity, in March, China's power battery loading capacity was 35.0GWh, an increase of 25.8% year-on-year and 94.6% month-on-month. Among them, the ternary battery loading capacity of 11.3GWh, accounting for 32.4% of the total loading capacity, an increase of 29.7% year-on-year, an increase of 62.9%; The loading capacity of lithium iron phosphate battery was 23.6GWh, accounting for 67.6% of the total loading capacity, an increase of 24.1% year-on-year and 114.6% quarter-on-quarter.


In the first quarter, the cumulative load of China's power batteries was 85.2GWh, a cumulative increase of 29.4%. Among them, the cumulative load of ternary batteries was 30.9Wh, accounting for 36.2% of the total load, with a cumulative increase of 47.8%. The cumulative loading capacity of lithium iron phosphate batteries was 54.3GWh, accounting for 63.8% of the total loading capacity, with a cumulative increase of 20.9%.


In March, a total of 39 power battery companies in China's new energy vehicle market achieved vehicle loading, consistent with the same period last year; Ranking the top 3, top 5, top 10 power battery companies power battery loading capacity of 27.1GWh, 30.0GWh and 33.5GWh, accounting for the total load ratio of 77.6%, 85.8% and 96.0%, the top 10 accounted for 2.3 percentage points lower than the same period last year, the market concentration declined.

In terms of battery exports, in March, China's total exports of power and other batteries were 12.2GWh, an increase of 48.7% from the previous month, an increase of 19.6%, accounting for 16.7% of the month's sales. Among them, power battery exports were 11.9GWh, accounting for 96.8%, an increase of 46.0% quarter-on-quarter and 33.7% year-on-year. Other battery exports 0.4GWh, accounting for 3.2%, an increase of 227.2%, down 71.5% year-on-year.


In the first quarter, China's total cumulative exports of power and other batteries reached 28.9GWh, accounting for 17.2% of the cumulative sales in the first March, a cumulative decline of 2.2%. Among them, the cumulative export of power battery 28.1GWh, accounting for 97.6%, a cumulative increase of 10.5%; Other batteries accumulated exports of 0.7GWh, accounting for 2.4%, a cumulative decline of 82.5%.
